You can technically play with a controller on PC, if you prefer the PC version for other reasons, but there's no built in support, so you need third party software to map some of the in-game stuff to the controller. If you play for a long time at one sitting, make sure you can be comfortable (whatever that means for you and your situation). One other thing-I find console + controller much more ergonomic than PC. This does provide the benefit of being able to do split bounties and stuff like that (which you can't do couch co-op). PC's don't have "couch co-op" at all, so you'll need 2 pcs and 2 copies of the game, if you want to play together. There are some other differences, which mostly don't matter until really high level play (above GR80 or so). However, regular movement and combat with a controller are so much better than with a mouse. Yes, public games suffer from cheaters, and there are a few other annoyances (like not being able to precisely target movement skills, like Teleport).
